Custom Interior Woodworking

Wainscoting, shiplap, coffered ceilings, and custom trim for East Texas homes and offices

CAB Carpentry specializes in custom interior woodworking that elevates a space

wainscoting in flat, beaded, or raised-panel profiles

shiplap accent walls or floor-to-ceiling runs

board-and-batten treatments

coffered and tray ceilings with crown

custom crown and baseboard packages

and built-in cabinetry, shelving, and bench seating.

We scribe and shim panel work to real-world walls so it looks intentional, match existing profiles in older homes, and mill custom profiles when a run justifies it.

What affects the price

Every estimate is walk-through based. These are the factors that move the number up or down:

  • Wall coverage — linear feet and ceiling height
  • Profile complexity — flat shiplap vs. beaded vs. custom mill
  • Paint-grade vs. stain-grade material
  • Whether ceiling coffers or tray details are included
  • Built-in cabinetry or shelving alongside the trim scope

Frequently asked questions

Can you install wainscoting on a wall that isn't perfectly straight?

Yes — that's where craftsmanship matters. We scribe, shim, and fit panel work to the wall so it looks intentional, even when the underlying framing is off.

Do you do coffered ceilings?

We do. Coffered and tray ceilings with crown are one of the more satisfying scopes — we mill, mock up, and install them to hold straight lines across the whole room.

Can you match existing trim profiles in an old home?

We work hard to match. Where the original profile is discontinued, we get as close as possible or mill custom when the run justifies it.

How much does shiplap cost per wall?

Depends on wall size, paint-grade vs. stain, and whether it's floor-to-ceiling or wainscoted. A typical accent wall runs a few hundred to a couple thousand — estimate confirmed on site.
